01 / THE SPARK
A BUILD BECOMES VISIBLE.
A prototype, research demo or first pilot lands on the map. The work stops living in a private tab and becomes something the rest of Australia can find.
Australia’s AI future is built together.
Meet the people, projects and communities turning ideas into useful things—from Perth to Parramatta, Darwin to Hobart, and everywhere in between.
01 / THE SPARK
A prototype, research demo or first pilot lands on the map. The work stops living in a private tab and becomes something the rest of Australia can find.
02 / THE CLUSTER
Communities turn isolated work into repeated collisions. Builders compare notes, swap introductions and give unfinished ideas somewhere useful to go.
03 / THE NETWORK
From Geraldton to Hobart, the scattered activity resolves into a national picture: real people, useful projects and open doors—not a leaderboard.
[ 02 / MEET THE MAKERS ]
Not a hype list. A living index of real products, active communities and the people doing the work. Every launch entry links to public proof.

[ 03 / THE BIGGEST GAP ]
Australia doesn’t have an ideas problem. It has a path-to-production problem: builders struggle to reach credible early customers, while buyers struggle to judge trust, fit and measurable value.
THE GOVERNMENT CALLS IT OUT TOO[ INTRODUCING AUSSEMBLY RELAY ]
Relay turns vague “we should do AI” energy into a decision-ready brief, matches it to relevant Australian builders, and keeps the pilot tied to one measurable outcome from day one.
[ FOUNDING ROUND / 10 BRIEFS ]
We’ll turn it into a clear, measurable brief and find the local teams most likely to ship it safely.
[ STRAIGHT ANSWERS ]
A problem-first matching service that connects Australian organisations with relevant local AI builders for small, measurable paid proofs—not vague innovation theatre.
By the problem, required capability, region, readiness and constraints. Directory popularity does not determine a match, and builders cannot pay to jump the queue.
Lodging a brief is free. If it is accepted, the A$290 founding fee covers the readiness check, scoping and up to three introductions. Any pilot is then agreed directly with the selected builder.
Yes. Aussembly is for people building in Australia, regardless of where they were born or what their background is. Profiles are checked against public proof before being listed.
[ 04 / WHEN SIGNALS MEET ]
Pick a field and a place. The network shows you who is already working there—so a cold search becomes a useful first hello.
[ 05 / FROM SIGNAL TO WORK ]
Once the right people can find each other, the next step gets practical: jobs, bounties, collaborators and pilot calls.
Reach builders who are already making things across Australia. Remote, hybrid or on-site.
Post a clear outcome, reward and deadline for product work, research, intros or content.
Say what you offer and who you’d like to meet. Specific beats vague every time.
[ WHY THIS EXISTS ]
Australia’s AI community is bigger and stranger than the usual headlines. Aussembly makes that work visible—bringing founders, researchers, creatives, communities and curious people into one living network.
No hype. No paywall. Just a clearer view of what’s happening, who’s making it and where to find them.
